DAVID GOUGH – Biotechnology Adviser
David Gough has been ETCapital's life sciences adviser since 2002. He was previously chief executive of Avlar BioVentures a UK-based early-stage venture capital company. At Avlar he was responsible for new investments in eight companies and played a significant role in raising Avlar's second fund, which had a first close in July 2001 of £38 million. Prior to that he was founder and Managing Director of Vectura Limited, a drug delivery company. Before founding Ventura he ran the Healthcare and Biotechnology practice at PA Consulting Group, having spent spent some ten years as a senior manager with Johnson and Johnson. He has a BSc in Physiology and Biochemistry from Reading University and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
